# Crumb protocol

## Purpose

Crumbs are useful contributions that can strengthen the Whole Donuts world, +U
Library, Donuts New School, Ambassador Path, or community-support work. They may
be original writing, a practical lesson, a trusted resource, a connection, or a
project idea.

Donuts New School: Visionaries & Pioneers is a non-exclusive learning subject for
learning, building, sharing useful work, and carrying community knowledge forward.
It is not enrollment, a credential, certification, identity requirement,
financial opportunity, donation reward, or automated path.

## Current public availability

The public prototype keeps the Crumb Saver invitation, protocol, and preparation
template available. Its static Pages configuration has no approved submission
runtime, so it does not accept, store, or discard a crumb. Do not link a
separate submission endpoint until its owner supplies and verifies it.

## Reviewed path

1. A person voluntarily accepts the invitation and chooses the relevant community subject.
2. They share only original or permitted useful material through an approved channel.
3. A reviewer checks rights, safety, source, usefulness, privacy, and fit.
4. Approved material retains attribution and revision history before human publication.

## Review

Every submission begins as `pending`. A reviewer checks that it is useful, accurate enough for its stated purpose, respectful, safe to share, and allowed to be republished or linked. A reviewer can approve it, decline it, or request a clearer version.

Approved crumbs are added deliberately to the relevant part of the public experience. Nothing is copied or published automatically from an outside source.

## Learning loop

Contributions are intentional and reviewed for source, rights, safety,
usefulness, privacy, and fit before publication. Approved material can be
connected to the relevant community subject with source attribution and revision
history retained. Feedback and observed impact guide later improvements; they
do not trigger automatic publishing, deletion, payment, allocation, or rewards.

## Boundaries

Do not submit private, identifying, financial, health, legal, or emergency information about yourself or anyone else. Do not submit copyrighted content you do not have permission to share, unsafe instructions, harassment, or claims of guaranteed outcomes.

## What approval means

Approval means a crumb may help the community. It does not mean Whole Donuts endorses every opinion, guarantees a result, or takes ownership of the contributor's identity or story.
